End of June 2017, we were invited as trainers for a 2-day workshop on National LCA database creation in Sri Lanka, Colombo, as guests of the National Cleaner Production Centre. The training was given by Amir Safaei from ecoinvent and Andreas Ciroth from GreenDelta, to about 20 participants. With open and sometimes challenging exercises, participants created own datasets, discussed their consistency and “quality”, and how to understand quality in datasets. It was especially interesting to see that rough, draft datasets can be remodeled in the ecoeditor, then exported, and then imported into openLCA, to analyse and assess an entire life cycle for one created data set. The training was quite poitively evaluated, and we look forward to next steps..
